The Professionals in Philanthropy Team
Stacey Wedding, Principal & Founder Prior to starting her own firm, Stacey served for seven years on the executive management team of the Nevada Community Foundation (NCF), a multi-million dollar charitable foundation that connects donors' charitable interests with community needs. Before joining NCF, she worked at Ballard Communications, the largest local public relations firm (at the time), where she received two prestigious Pinnacle Awards for her work. Stacey started her career in the Corporate Communications Department of Nevada Power Company (now NV Energy). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from UNLV, where she graduated summa cum laude from their esteemed Honors College. She also received the highly competitive and prestigious Board of Regents Undergraduate Scholar of the Year Award and later was awarded the UNLV 2004 Outstanding Alumnus Award for her support of the Honors College. Most recently, Stacey was inducted into the 2009 Women's Hall of Fame and received the 2008 Athena Award for her leadership and community service as well as the KLAS TV-8 2008 Community Spirit Award. She was recognized as a "Person of Influence" by In Business Las Vegas in 2007, a "Rising Star Under 40" by In Business Las Vegas in 2004, and in 2002, she received the Nevada Business Journal's "Top Business Professionals Under 40 Award." Stacey is a proud graduate of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2003. Stacey is often asked to speak to service organizations and community groups about various areas of philanthropy and volunteerism. Some of her speaking engagements have included Nevada Women's Philanthropy, Association of Fundraising Professionals-Las Vegas Chapter, Leadership Las Vegas, Focus Las Vegas, Nevada Women's Chamber of Commerce, Las Vegas Rotary, and Prevent Child Abuse America. Stacey is committed to giving back to Southern Nevada. Her firm donates 10% of its gross income to charitable causes and provides over 300 hours of volunteer service per year. She currently serves as board president for NevadaGives, a nonprofit that raises awareness of philanthropy and volunteerism by serving as an informational resource, collaborative partner, connector and inspiration to those who want to give back to the community in which they live. Additionally, Stacey serves on the President's Advisory Council member for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Las Vegas Chapter (AFP), the Community We Will Advance Team member, a lead partner and member of the Southern Nevada Funders Forum and its Technical Assistance Work Group, and DJs for PJs Executive Committee member. She serves on Three Square's ACE Grants Committee, St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation's Grant Committee and volunteers for the Boys & Girls Clubs Youth of the Year competition. Stacey is most passionate about her volunteer work coaching newly diagnosed diabetics and their families. Debbie Devald, Executive Coordinator Debbie has worked in the nonprofit community for more than 15 years. In her previous positions as Executive Director of the American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (now Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), she oversaw the strategic direction of the local chapters, including all board development activities, human resources functions, fundraising efforts, programming, community outreach, and special events. While at the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Debbie received the Star Performance National Award, and prior to her professional career, she received the Volunteer of the Year Award from HELP of Southern Nevada. Debbie began her career at Marine Midland Bank in Buffalo, New York. She is happily married and is a mother of one. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, puzzles, and gardening.
